Hello! 👋 We're a small indie game studio working on our own game titles. Occasionally we help other game studios offering art or code services. We've been present at GamesCom23 alongside several other studios we collaborated with and some of the games we contributed to were reviewed and praised at GDC.

For this role, ideally, you would have an affinity for either art, programming, game design, marketing & community management or just gaming in general.

If you're really interested and think you are a good fit, you can also apply without any of the above ☝, but your application needs to describe why you'd be so passionate about this role.

The ones below thou 👇 are very needed and mandatory:

  • organized (👈 really, this is 1st on the list)
  • creativity in organizing text data nicely for reading
  • can jump at any hour in calls with us and has a decent enough level of spoken English (or German)
  • sometimes join meetings and take summary notes on them
  • can deal with people & interact for completing tasks
  • has a good skill in researching (finding things on google for example)
  • is open to learn new tools  (specific for your role)

This role is for an entry / junior Personal Assistant with the right traits who's willing to go with us for the long run, learn and grow together with us along the way. Compensation will start modest but will change as we continue to work together. It's an opportunity to grow into a critical role in our studio, possibly for years to come.

To apply:

Write your application short & sweet but if you have relevant interesting stories to share with us, you are welcomed to do so. We like to read. 😊

We'd also be thankful if you'd give the following questions below a try.

  1. When are you most available throughout the day (Ex: studies, or having a part-time / full-time job, working on own projects, taking care of family etc.)
  2. How did your passion for either art, programming, game design or just gaming in general start and when? If none apply to you, why would you still consider being a good fit for this role?
  3. Any new or old favorite games, movies or cartoons that greatly inspired you? Tell us what you liked about them. (can also be a book)
  4. You've bought a place for a book shop. You need to organize the business. How would you start? Assume you are a fresh entrepreneur. Try not to use chatGPT or google - we're not looking for a "correct" answer. It's a silly question but be creative & have fun!
  5. What software do you use in your day-to-day activities, and which one has been the most complex to learn up to this point?

Also, don't forget to add in your e-mail a CV and any social media links you deem worthy! (LinkedIn, Artstation, Github, etc. anything you think would fit here)

We usually leave a week time for people to apply before we reach out, so please keep an eye on e-mail notifications or messages.

Thank you for your time applying to our job post!

IMPORTANT UPDATE:

We've received a LOT of requests and we are humbled by this. But before you apply we just want to help you understand some important details about this role. Please read below.

This is a remote job, but given that we need to be working at the same time, applicants from EUROPESOUTH AFRICA and ASIA will have an advantage because of the timezone. Further clarifications below for applicants from the US:

  • we need someone to be available between 7:00 AM and 16:00 PM Eastern European Time (EET). Not to be confused with Eastern Standard Time which would be 12:00 AM and 9:00 AM EST. from 6AM till 9AM EST, there might still be a decent time overlap, but it certainly remains a challenge to work in EU / US timezone
  • there are also challenges regarding compensation, as we are a self-funded startup studio based in Eastern Europe. Our economic reality differs from that of the US, so please keep this in mind when applying
  • while our team is open and you will be in sync with every team member from programming to art, we wouldn't want to give the false impression that a role switch is possible at this time. If you are to be a reliable PA or even grow into a Project Manager role, it will then be hard to replace such valuable help

We've tried to be as open and honest as we can so that we don't create mismatching expectations and disappoint you later on. If considering the above you are still interested in this role, then we'd love to read your application. A final request would be to consider answering the questions and also add the word purple at the start of your message just to let us know that this message did indeed reach you. Thank you!
