The Company

Albedo Informatics is a Toronto-based game and application development studio with a focus on location-based gaming, augmented reality, and emerging digital technologies.

The Candidate

We’re looking for a talented graphic designer with experience in game UI/UX and a strong eye for typography, layout, and visual composition. The ideal candidate will be able to create polished, visually engaging designs for both digital and print applications, ensuring that all materials are professional, consistent, and ready for production.

The role will involve designing and refining UI elements for games, as well as developing high-quality, print-ready materials. The successful candidate should be comfortable working with existing visual styles and assets while bringing their own design expertise to the process.

Responsibilities

• Design and refine UI elements and interfaces for games, with a focus on usability, visual clarity, and consistency.
• Create polished graphic design materials with strong typography, layout, and visual hierarchy.
• Prepare print-ready files, ensuring that designs meet the technical requirements for professional printing.
• Follow existing style guides and work with established visual assets to maintain design consistency.
• Develop and present design concepts, sketches, and mood boards to explore and communicate ideas.
• Incorporate feedback and collaborate with the team to refine designs and deliver high-quality results.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in graphic design, ideally within the games industry.
• Experience designing UI/UX for games, preferably mobile games.
• Strong typography, layout, composition, and visual design skills.
• Experience preparing print-ready files and understanding print production requirements.
• A strong portfolio showcasing relevant graphic design, game UI/UX, and/or print design work.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and familiarity with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
• Ability to work with existing style guides and assets while maintaining visual consistency.
• Ability to communicate design concepts clearly and iterate efficiently based on feedback.
• An enthusiastic team player with a collaborative attitude and strong attention to detail.
