Antic Games is seeking a 2D Concept Artist to collaborate on SuperColony, our real-time ant colony simulation game set in the hostile world of insects.
Position Overview:
- Concepting creatures and biomes, with consideration of their role within those ecosystems.
- Providing paintover feedback of existing and in progress 3D content.
- 2D Icons for UI, along with paint overs for existing UI elements.
- Contribute to Art Direction conversations.
- Collaborate with other members of the team, being active in our Discord server.
- Manage your JIRA tickets in an up to date manner.
- Document your work in Confluence as needed, updating the Art Bible as we go.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand the project, and share your ideas!
- Collaborate with the art director to develop and implement the artistic vision of SuperColony.
- Create 2D/3D concept mock-ups of environments, and all the flora and fauna included in different biomes.
- Participate by sharing ideas to improve the art pipelines/workflows, with an overall mindset towards production efficiency and creative collaboration.
- 2D UI Concepts & .png sprite exports. Icons & screen layouts.
- Provide support to other team members to ensure visual consistency is maintained during Unity integration, which requires playtesting and follows up on handed off tasks.
- Continuously seek to improve your skills and stay updated on industry trends and techniques. Share new techniques with the team.

Your role is to guide them to success by managing their unique ability to direct their own evolution. Collect DNA and Genes from other insects to become more like them, crafting unique castes with outlandish capabilities. There’s a lot of cool stuff to make for these systems!
