Bag of Holding is seeking a talented Game Producer to join our game development team. We’re a new studio and as such, this role spans several different responsibilities. In this role, you'll be responsible for managing our external art and audio pipeline for our first game, Wyld Land, ensuring smooth integration of contracted work into our games, and maintaining efficient production workflows. You’ll also have the opportunity to contribute directly to the game’s development, designing and implementing content such as boss fights and items, events, and more.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage relationships and workflows with external contractors, including pixel artists, sound designers, and other creative professionals
- Coordinate asset implementation into Unity, ensuring quality and consistency
- Track project timelines and deliverables using project management tools
- Facilitate clear communication between contractors and internal team members
- Support basic implementation tasks using Unity and simple scripting
- Contribute to the design of the game by creating content such as boss fights, items, and events, using our straightforward well-defined processes and simple scripting.
- Ensure contracted work meets quality standards and project specifications
Required Qualifications
- Experience with Unity game engine and basic scripting knowledge (you don’t need to be a programmer, but you would feel comfortable editing a configuration file for a program).
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proven track record of managing external contractors or creative teams
- Ability to maintain detailed documentation and tracking systems
- Basic understanding of game development pipelines and asset implementation
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Fan of bullet hell games such as Enter the Gungeon, Nuclear Throne, Archvale, or others.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with LDTK (Level Designer Toolkit)
- Background in game art or audio production
- Previous experience in indie game development
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Some level of programming experience in a language, such as Lua or Javascript
What We Offer
- This is a full-time position
- Salary range $60,000 - $75,000 USD per year depending on prior experience
- We work 100% remotely, and you can set your own schedule. Note however that we are only open to hiring US based employees at this time.
