BareBones is a small independent studio based in France. We are currently working on Project Tempo, a roguelike rhythm game inspired by Patapon in which the player commands a small team of pirates using musical sequences, in a cute and fun universe.
The role
We're looking for a 2D Lead Artist to play a central role in the project. We want to find someone to whom we can give real creative freedom, so that together we can build a strong, coherent and assertive artistic direction.
The Lead Artist will be responsible for the game's art, and will be able to explore, iterate and push forward an artistic vision that reflects his or her own style. We’re looking for a specific style:

Project Tempo is a richly illustrated 2D top-down rhythmic roguelite where a small pirate crew embarks on a musical quest to restore hope in a fractured world.
Inspired by games like Patapon and Sea of Thieves, it challenges players to think quickly while staying on rhythm. Project Tempo is also a “roguelike”, where each playthrough is different, keeping the experience fresh and exciting.
