Hello! I'm Jamie and I'm looking for someone to join Classy Games as a studio partner and continues to grow and develop the studio together. Not for a few months, but for the long run. You can find me on LinkedIn if you want to know a bit more about me, though please do not spam me. Cheers.

What We're Building

Classy Games is a dream I've been building for the last four years. It's had its ups and downs, but it's been worth every bit of it. This is not a side project and it's not a hobby, it's a studio that i work on day in, day out, rain or shine. The studio is registered in the United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and Saudi Arabia, we're launching two titles in 2026, and we're backed by investors including Merak Capital. Beyond our investors, we have mentors from studios like Kwalle, Paradox, and Warner Brothers and others who believe in what we're building and where it's going. I'm not looking for someone who sees this as a temporary thing or a stepping stone. I'm looking for someone who wants to get stuck in and help shape what this studio becomes.

Classy Games motto is "rediscover the joy of play". Remember those days when you would run home from school and jump into your favourite game? Where did that magic go? Life gets busy, and as adults we don't always make time to switch off, laugh, and enjoy things the way we used to. I want to build games that give people that feeling back. We've spent the last few years bootstrapping and building foundations, and we're now preparing for the next stage of growth with additional investment conversations underway.

About the Role

This isn't a traditional job. There is equity (divested with a cliff) in this position, and that should tell you a lot about who i am looking for. I want someone who eventually lives and breathes Classy Games as if it were theirs, because it 100% will be. I'm not looking for someone to manage tasks or wait for direction. I'm looking for someone who wants ownership, accountability, and a seat at the table when decisions get made. Someone who wants to build something together as partners, not just clock in and contribute.

Day to day, that means wearing multiple hats. There will always be things that need done across the studio, and I'm not looking for someone to own these areas alone. I'm looking for someone to work through them with me. That could be anything from game development and production, to community and marketing, to business development and investment conversations, to figuring out how the studio operates and grows. The list changes depending on what's in front of us.

Some days that might mean discussing roadmap decisions. Other days it might mean reviewing trailers, planning content, speaking with partners, solving production problems, or jumping directly into development. I'm not looking for someone who is an expert in all of these things. I'm looking for someone who is hungry, willing to get stuck in, and comfortable figuring things out.

I want someone who enjoys being in the trenches. The late night calls, the studio and game discussions, all of it. This is still a startup and there is a lot of hard work ahead. I'm looking for someone who can identify what needs done, discuss it openly, make a plan, and execute. That said, you do need real experience. Building projects, managing people, shipping things, understanding how a business actually runs. This role is for someone who has been through it before and knows what it takes.

Compensation

This is an equity-heavy position (divested with a cliff). There is a monthly salary that covers your costs, but the real upside is in what we build together. If your priority is a big monthly pay cheque, this probably isn't for you. If your priority is building something you own a real piece of, keep reading.

Location

The role is fully remote. I'm currently based in Thailand, so timezone matters. Anywhere from Europe through to Southeast Asia works well. The Americas unfortunately don't, the overlap just isn't enough for how closely we'd be working together.

If you want to build something you can point at in a few years and say "I helped create that," I'd love to hear from you.

To Apply

A CV or a well-written email is not going to tell me what I need to know about you. I'm looking for someone I can work alongside for years, and that comes down to who you are, how you think, and whether we click. The best way for me to get a sense of that is a video.

I know video applications have a bad reputation. Some companies use them to train AI, some treat them as a one-sided interview where you perform and never hear back. This isn't that. In an ideal world, the first step would be sitting down together one-to-one and having a real conversation. But realistically there are going to be a lot of applications and I can't do that with everyone. A video lets me get to know you enough to figure out if that conversation is worth having for both of us.

Do not overthink this. Film it on your phone while you're walking the dog. Record it on your laptop during your lunch break. Do it while you're getting ready for bed and thinking "screw it, this Classy Games thing could be my thing." I do not want a polished, edited production. I want you being you.

Tell me about yourself. What are your skills? What area of game dev do you work in? What's your experience? What do you want to do? What are your dreams? Why does Classy Games interest you? There's no time limit. Just keep it natural.

If there's mutual interest after that, we'll arrange a proper conversation together. I'd much rather spend time having meaningful discussions with a smaller group of people than try to judge anyone from paper alone.
