We are looking for an experienced Unity Developer to join our team and contribute to the development of immersive learning experiences for our multiplayer VR education app, CurioXR, on Meta Quest. This role focuses on delivering engaging, interactive features. In addition to strong Unity development skills, we’re seeking someone with experience in multiplayer development, VR, and with a strong sense of what makes for a good user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement gameplay features and interactive experiences for CurioXR.
• Collaborate with educators to create intuitive, user-friendly VR interactions.
• Build and optimize mechanics that enhance educational content and usability in VR.
• Create design mockups and prototypes for gameplay features and user interfaces.
• Implement and optimize UI/UX elements, ensuring smooth navigation in VR.
• Debug and optimize gameplay systems, ensuring performance and usability on Meta Quest.
• Prioritize tasks, and communicate progress to deliver features efficiently.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Build code frameworks and feature templates to make similar features quicker to build.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of Unity development experience, particularly in gameplay programming.
• Strong C# and Unity scripting skills, focused on creating polished, responsive experiences.
• Experience with multiplayer development in Unity.
• Experience developing for Meta Quest or other VR platforms.
• Familiarity with design tools (like ShapesXR, Figma) for creating mockups and prototypes.
• Strong understanding of animations, physics, and UI in Unity.
• Experience optimizing performance for mobile VR platforms like Meta Quest.
• Experience working within Agile frameworks, managing sprints, and collaborating with teams.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Nice-to-Haves:

• Background in education technology or e-learning applications.
• Familiarity with user-generated content features.
• Experience with tools like Unity Addressables for asset management.
• Interest in AI tools and LLMs.
