As a Producer, you will take ownership of multiple titles and be responsible for guiding them through to successful release and beyond. You’ll collaborate closely with fellow Producers, Marketing Leads, and Devolvers' worldwide, contributing across all areas of the business. Your work will not only help bring great games to market, but also support the growth and success of our business and partner studios.

 

About You

  • Experience in game production (developer or publisher side)
  • Proven ability to create and maintain schedules, milestones, and production documentation
  • High proficiency with tools such as Slack, JIRA, Trello, Confluence and the Google Suite
  • Passion for games across a wide range of genres
  • A strong knowledge of the video game marketplace and different business models
  • A proactive communicator and collaborator
  • Self-starting, self-sufficient and disciplined

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage relationships with development partners (including codev and porting teams) to deliver projects in line with contractual agreements
  • Collaborate with partners to define and maintain budgets, schedules, and milestones
  • Create and review Key Information Documents to help us review commercial decision making
  • Coordinate with PR and Marketing teams on outward-facing campaigns
  • Maintain clear, consistent communication with partners on progress, risks, and changes
  • Supervise localisation processes in collaboration with the Head of Localisation
  • Supervise outsourced Quality Assurance efforts (including Functional, Compatibility, Compliance, Localisation and/or Feedback) in collaboration with developers and the QA Manager
  • Review milestone submissions, providing detailed notes and feedback against agreed criteria
  • Manage and document budget and schedule adjustments if required
  • Review financial forecasts on a monthly basis
  • Maintain weekly updates on our internal Production Tracker
  • Ensure internal teams have accurate, up-to-date information on project status and timelines
  • Conduct due diligence on new projects and partners
  • Lead onboarding for new development partners
  • Work with Senior Production Department members, Business Development and Marketing to identify ongoing investment, contract amendments, ROI analysis, and platform expansion opportunities

 

Additional Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities to optimize game quality and scope, communicating trade-offs with partners. This might include:
    • external development support
    • focus testing
    • cultural reviews
    • marketing opportunities / partnerships
  • Work with our Release Management team and first-party platforms on both development and store-side processes (submission, release management, assets, metadata, localisation)
  • Manage legal workflows with partners, from NDAs through to contract amendments
  • Help Devolver document as many processes as possible in order to share knowledge
  • Help evolve and improve production workflows, tools, and communication practices

 

Bonus Points

  • Experience in other development disciplines (e.g. audio, design, QA)
  • Familiarity with game engines and workflows (Unity, Unreal, platform SDKs)
  • Understanding of game design principles such as balance, pacing, and difficulty
  • Technical skills (e.g. scripting, macros, Python, tools development)
  • Experience of presenting games to players, press, or at events
  • Experience of working on live service (GaaS) titles
