Double Dusk is a remote games studio making games in Unreal Engine 5 with a focus on friends-first cooperative teamwork. We aspire to create some of the best teamwork games ever made, and that starts with collaborating with great teammates!
about you, must haves
- You have a portfolio that includes visual effects made in Unreal Engine.
- You can create unique and performant stylized and paintery visual effects.
- You have played a cooperative game or two in the last few months.
nice to haves
- You have extensive experience in developing first-person games.
- You have a breadth of proven skills in other domains to tap into such as programming, materials, animation, etc.

salary
Equal work, equal pay. We have a transparent salary policy: at all times you know exactly what everybody else at the company is being paid. We strive to pay at the 75th percentile of the markets we hire in. Everybody in the same role at the same level at the same location gets paid the same.
Equity packages are adjusted based on how early you joined the company to compensate for volatility. There’s no negotiation, nor special backroom deals to get ahead. Compensation is standardized and made public to maximize fairness. We make yearly adjustments to everybody’s compensation to keep up with the market and inflation.

- Culture interview - Our goal is to explore your motivations to join our team, learn why you’d be a great fit, and answer questions about us (30min)
- Paid take-home project - We assign you a test project that should take a few hours to finish. The work is similar to what you’d be doing day-to-day at the company. We then chat with you about your deliverable (~8h)
- Skills interview - We'll discuss your take home and discuss the skills needed to be successful in your role (60min)
