About the Game

We’re developing a premium 2D pixel-art action roguelite set in a cybernetic samurai world. One of the game's core features is a visual Technique/Spell Building system, where players can combine different components to create and customize their own abilities and builds.

Role Overview

We’re looking for someone to help us build a community around the game and develop it publicly from an early stage. You’ll work closely with our small team to grow the community, create engaging content, and use community feedback to validate and improve the game.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage our Discord and social media communities.
  • Develop a strategy for community growth and development-in-public.
  • Create and coordinate posts, short-form content, dev updates and community activities.
  • Engage with players and build an active early community.
  • Run polls, discussions and feedback activities to validate gameplay, mechanics, characters, story and other ideas.
  • Identify what resonates with players and communicate useful insights to the development team.
  • Help build relationships with gaming communities, creators and influencers.
  • Track content and community performance and improve the strategy.

What We Can Provide

Our team can provide gameplay footage, artwork, screenshots, capsule art, designs and some social media content. You won't be expected to create everything from scratch.

Ideal Candidate

  • Understands indie games and gaming communities.
  • Experience with Discord and platforms such as X, Reddit, Instagram, TikTok or YouTube.
  • Strong communication and content sense.
  • Able to turn community feedback into useful insights.
  • Proactive and comfortable working with a small indie team.
  • Indie game marketing/development-in-public experience is a plus.

Compensation: $230–$350/month

Part-time initially, with scope to increase involvement as the game and community grow.

To Apply

Please share your portfolio and any previous community-building, gaming marketing, or development-in-public experience.

About Us

We’re a small indie game team based in Bangalore, India, currently developing our first game– a 2D HD pixel-art roguelite with a cybernetic samurai setting and a unique visual spell-building system.

Our current team consists of 2 artists, 2 programmers, and a creative/story designer working closely together on the project. The game is currently being incubated through EcoNest Ventures Pvt. Ltd., an existing real estate and investment company, with the intention of establishing a dedicated gaming studio/entity as the project progresses.

As this is our first game, we’re building our gaming brand and public presence from the ground up. We don’t yet have dedicated gaming socials or a website, which is one of the key reasons we’re hiring for this role. We’re looking for someone who can help us introduce the game to the public, build an engaged community, develop in public, and help us validate the game with players as we continue development.

We’re a small, hands-on team, so this role will have the opportunity to work closely with the developers and creatives and help shape how the game and studio are presented to the public from the beginning.
