We’re an experienced team who are having a lot of fun working on our indie game, Luma Island.

Luma Island was released in November 2024 and has sold over 500,000 copies so far. We’re now busy working on a free expansion for the game and are looking for a new lead sound designer to complement our super-talented team.

You will be responsible for designing new sounds and integrating them in Unity via Wwise. Although you will be taking over an existing Wwise project (and its Unity integration) for Luma Island, you will get the opportunity to make your mark on future expansions, as well as on our future games.

You are an expert at:

  • Designing awesome sounds and integrating them in Unity via Wwise.
  • Matching new sounds to the style of an existing game.
  • Working in an iterative environment at a fast pace.

We will only consider applicants with:

  • A proven track-record of contributions to at least 1-2 released desktop PC or console games.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • A place of residence max +/-2 hours from Central European Time.

Bonus points:

  • A university/academic degree in sound design.
  • Experience in working with multiplayer games.
  • Experience in working with console development (PS, Xbox, Switch).
  • A love of gaming. ❤

Does this sound exactly like you?

If so, we might have the perfect job for you:

  • A full-time position on our team (40 hours per week).
  • A salary that matches your skill level and experience.
  • A friendly and fun work environment with no crunch time.

Location

Our office is based in the Netherlands. Working remotely is only an option if your timezone is max +/-2 hours from Central European Time so that you can attend our meetings.

Sorry but we can’t accept your application if your timezone is outside this range.

Please be aware that if we shortlist your application, you will be asked to do an unpaid test where we provide a short in-game video clip that you need to design the sounds for.
