Frostwood Interactive is an independent game development studio founded by Armaan Sandhu, dedicated to creating atmospheric, narrative-driven experiences with deep characters and cinematic presentation. We are currently working on a horror game titled Shutter Story.
Shutter Story is a horror game about examining photos for signs of the paranormal. This is a purely psychological game with no jump scares, and I’m looking for a sound designer who understands understated horror and the game’s cinematic, J-Horror influences, while also being immediately available and able to work under time and budget constraints. The requirement is purely for sound effects, ambience and room tones - not music.
The game is set to launch in early 2027 and so we’re on a tight schedule and are hoping for completion of all sound design work ideally before December 2026. You will not be responsible for any in-engine implementation, but only creation and delivery of requested sound files. We will work together to broadly conceptualize the style of each sound effect, but you will have the space to experiment and try new things. The role is remote and part time with a defined scope of deliverables.
