Good Story Guild is looking for a talented UI/UX Designer to join our small development team in creating our first game: Cat Secretary.

Who are we looking for?

• You’re an excellent communicator who can work with the team to create seamless interfaces and experiences.
• You love getting your hands dirty within Unreal Engine 5 to build both interactive prototypes and release-ready interfaces.
• You’re eager to design and create cohesive visual systems end-to-end that are aligned with art direction.
• You’re confident in taking ownership of a design from concept through to in-project deliverables.
• You have a strong understanding of UI/UX design theory, including graphic design, and usability vs. function.
• You have incredible attention to detail and a passion for creating beautiful, functional, and intuitive designs.
• You passionately advocate and care about making our games accessible to all players.

Job Responsibilities

• Collaboratively Concept - You’ll work with the team to analyze, concept, and design cohesive interfaces and experiences for new and existing features.
• Start Scrappy - Create wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes to get alignment and buy-in from the team.
• Finish Strong - Drive the creation and implementation of high-fidelity UI components within the engine, owning the User Interface & Experience from end to end for the player.
• Reflect & Iterate - Leverage UX best practices and work with the team to iterate and improve the player experience.

Capacity

The role will begin as a part-time freelance role, with the potential to scale up to full-time after the initial onboarding period.
