HexNest Games is the team behind Birds of War, a competitive multiplayer pvp game about bird warfare, egg stealing and proximity chat. The game is live on Steam and we’re currently growing the community through updates, events, creator content, Discord, and player feedback.

We’re looking for a Community Manager who can help us build and maintain the Birds of War community across Discord and social platforms. The role would involve engaging with players, helping run community events, collecting and organizing feedback, supporting announcements/patch notes, moderating Discord, surfacing bugs/issues to the dev team, and generally helping make the community feel alive.

Ideal person:

• Loves multiplayer games and understands online game communities
• Comfortable managing Discord and talking directly with players
• Can help turn community moments into content ideas
• Good written communication
• Organised enough to collect feedback/bugs without everything becoming chaos
• Has good judgement with moderation and player issues
• Bonus if they understand Steam, TikTok/Instagram/X, creator outreach, or live-service/community events

Overall, Birds of War is funny and chaotic, but we still want someone professional and reliable. The game has a lot of stupid comedy, proximity chat, and “get the boys on” energy, so someone who understands that culture would be a great fit.

We’re open to candidates from anywhere. Our main audience is from USA but we are based in Australia in Melbourne time (AEST).
