🎮 What You'll Do:
- Create high-quality 3D animations for characters, creatures, and props that bring our world to life.
- Animate humanoid skeletons with believable weight, timing, and personality across gameplay, cinematics, and ambient actions.
- Implement and import animations into Unity, setting up animator controllers, blend trees, and state machines.
- Develop physics-based animations and simulations (ragdolls, cloth, secondary motion) to enhance realism and immersion.
- Collaborate closely with designers, programmers, and the art team to ensure animations align with gameplay feel, narrative tone, and visual direction.
- Iterate quickly based on feedback and optimize animation assets for performance.
🕵️♂️ What We're Looking For:
- Strong portfolio/showreel showcasing 3D animation work, including humanoid character animation and prop animation.
- Proven experience animating in industry-standard software (Maya, Blender, 3ds Max, or similar) and exporting clean rigs and animation data to Unity.
- Solid understanding of the 12 principles of animation, body mechanics, and acting/performance.
- Hands-on experience with Unity's animation systems: Animator, Mecanim, humanoid rig retargeting, blend trees, and animation events.
- Familiarity with physics-based animation techniques (ragdoll setup, active ragdolls, cloth, IK).
- Ability to work independently, respond to feedback, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
- Experience animating directly within Unity (Timeline, Animation window) is a plus.
- Scripting experience in C# is a plus but not required.
- Prior work on horror games, especially stylized or atmospheric ones, is a plus.
