We are looking for a writer to help create and implement compelling narratives in a non-linear, systems-based strategy game set in a unique fantasy world mixing dark themes with cute designs.

We are a small fully remote team based out of the United States with members in multiple countries and time zones. Due to our small size, candidates with more generalist skill sets and experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with the team to create narrative beats that complement the game systems and guide the player through the world.
• Write compelling and beleivable character dialog for NPCs and player responses.
• Build a narrative tone mature enough for adults, but still accessible to a younger audience.
• Develop characters with consistent and memorable personalities.
• Write additional in-game text where applicable.
• Demonstrate strong self-scheduling and time-management skills in a small team with no dedicated producer

Requirements

• Experience writing character dialog.
• An understanding of game narrative and non-linear story telling.
• Strong creative writing skills.
• Good communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills
• Ability to quickly iterate on concepts
