We’re looking for a Senior Unity Programmer to remotely join our wonderful team and help us grow our technical skills to the next level.

The person we’re looking for isn’t just a great programmer, but is also deeply interested in good team practices, in collaborative teamwork, and in training and growing the junior- and mid-level engineers around them.

As a Senior team member, you’d also be expected to take an active interest in the strategy and management of the studio as a whole.

 

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the high-level technical architecture of our projects
  • Overseeing and developing the engineering team’s processes and practices
  • Overseeing the professional development of junior- and mid-level engineers
  • Taking ownership of and developing core game systems

 

Requirements

  • Experience shipping multiple commercial games
  • Experience developing gameplay systems in Unity
  • High level of fluency in C#
  • Experience developing multiplayer games
  • A proven track record of training and mentoring less-senior engineers
  • Due to our small team and a significant number of our employees being international, we require potential applicants to be able to speak English

 

Preferred experience

  • Python is an asset
  • Prior experience with Photon Fusion would be a major asset
  • Experience working on live-service games
  • Experience with Jira, Slack, Notion, source control, continuous integration and web services

 

Compensation

This is a permanent position. After completing a probation period you will be a full co-owner of the company, contributing equally to all strategy decisions and sharing in all profits. As de la programmation, la personne idéale a réellement à cœur les bonnes pratiques de travail d’équipe, la collaboration ainsi que la formation et le perfectionnement des ingénieur·e·s en logiciels débutant·e·s et intermédiaires qui l’entourent.

Occupant des fonctions élevées, la personne titulaire du poste devra aussi s’intéresser activement à la stratégie et à la gestion du studio.

 

Fonctions

  • Superviser l’architecture technique globale de nos projets.

  • Voir au perfectionnement professionnel des ingénieur·e·s en logiciels débutant·e·s et intermédiaires.
  • Prendre en charge et développer les principaux systèmes de jeu.

 

Exigences du poste

  • Expérience dans le développement de plusieurs jeux publiés.
  • Expérience en développement de systèmes de jeu dans Unity.
  • Grande maîtrise de C#.
  • Expérience en développement de jeux multijoueurs.
  • Capacité avérée à former et à mentorer des ingénieur·e·s en logiciels ayant moins d’expérience.
  • Connaissance de l’anglais (nous formons une petite équipe dont bon nombre des membres se situent à l’étranger).

 

Atouts

  • Connaissance de Python.
  • Expérience préalable sur Photon Fusion, un atout majeur.
  • Expérience des jeux-services.
  • Connaissance de Jira, de Slack, de Notion, de la gestion de versions, de l’intégration continue et des services Web.

 

Rémunération

Il s’agit d’un poste permanent. Après avoir terminé une période de probation, la ou le titulaire du poste sera copropriétaire à part entière de l’entreprise, contribuera de façon équitable à toutes les décisions stratégiques et recevra sa part des profits.
