In this role you will be dedicated to providing talented, creative practitioners with an environment and culture they can truly thrive in, whilst directly supporting the studio director on business objectives.
As Operations Assistant you will have a number of operational and administrative duties, empowering the Studio Director and Leadership Team by ensuring the studio operates efficiently and smoothly. This will involve, carrying out general administrative duties, providing coordination, and project support. You will be assisting the day-to-day running of the studio, ensuring smooth operations and facilitating your peers across all departments in delivering upon our games' ambitious commercial, critical, and cultural objectives. You will approach challenges with a positive attitude while being an excellent communicator who influences building an inclusive and collaborative studio culture.

This is a part-time (3days p/wk), 22 month, contract position with the possibility of ongoing employment, though make no mistake, you will be a critical part of the LoG family.

Requirements:
- 2+ years professional experience working in a similar role.
- Experience in the creative industries.
- Great organisational and time management skills.
- Pro-active nature and demonstrative initiative.
- Complete literacy with administrative software (Office, Google Docs, etc).

Responsibilities:
As Operations Assistant here at League of Geeks, you will be assisting with day-to-day operations and administration of the studio:
- Assist in daily management of studio and site operations - communicate with stakeholders (founders, leadership team) to action requests for coordination, documentation, as well as coordinate agreed follow up actions.
- Complete a broad variety of administrative tasks including – managing calendars; copying, reviewing emails; take meeting notes; taking phone calls and studio visitors; travel and external meeting plans and itineraries; managing mail and couriers; placing orders as requested, etc.
- Oversee general office operations, including but not limited to keeping inventory, maintain all non-IT resources and purchasing (comparison shopping for equipment, supplies, resources, etc) required for the team to work effectively.
- Liaise with building management and vendors regarding any queries, issues or requests.
- Create and update documentation related to studio operations and policy, and communicate progress.
- Coordinate and support daily activities, studio meetings, employee-related functions, and organise team building exercises, review and approve employee leave requests.
- Maintain the sales and events calendars for our suite of products, under direction from the studio director and finance manager.
- Alleviate company directors and producers of general organisational studio admin, including leave calendars, studio correspondence, travel and event arrangements, etc.
- Support the studio director with their initiatives and ad-hoc projects, including general studio operations, people initiatives and process improvement upon the business requirements.
- Assist in promoting and maintaining positive company culture, organise team building exercises, social events.

Important Stuff:
- This is a part-time role of three days per week.
- Remuneration on offer (including benefits such as superannuation) is between $75,000 - $90,000k p.a AUD annually, pro-rata as per the terms of your engagement. Remuneration is dependent on experience and expertise of the applicant.
- We are currently working under a work-from-home model, and plan on returning to our Melbourne studio in the next 12 months.
- Until our return to studio, this role can be held remotely (Australia only).
- All interview stages will take place via video conference.
