I'm a solo game developer working on a new game project and I'm looking for a talented 3D artist to help bring the vision to life. The role focuses on creating quality, semi-realistic 3D models and textures — everything from environment props to stylised characters and assets that fit a compelling, powerful visual style. The game is a 3D hex tile-base strategy deck builder.
Requirements
I'm looking for someone with proven experience creating nature environment assets for isometric games. A passion for nature is a plus.
About me
I'm a game and strategy enthusiast from Hungary. In my day job, I'm a staff software engineer with 25+ years of experience. What I lack in knowledge is game graphic design, so I'll have questions.
About the project:
We're creating a deck builder and hex tile map-based strategy game with the focus on a versatile unit ability system and terrain type affected stealth and elevation affected visibility (LOS).
Features:
This is what I figured, but I don’t have experience with computer graphics and I want a consultation on this idea first, before we make an agreement and proceed.
Deliverables and references:
Please review the full project brief here.
Budget:
TBD, requesting quote from game artist.
To apply:
Please provide a portfolio or reel showcasing your 3D work on a known site (ArtStation, Fiverr, Upwork...) with a focus on isometric and/or semi-realistic game assets. Please include a short introduction about yourself and your experience.
