North Side Inc is a Montreal, Canada-based indie. We’re the developers of Bot Colony (2014) and now Bot Colony _redux. Bot Colony _redux is a relaunch of the Bot Colony adventure game – a sci-fi, story-rich adventure title centred on immersive conversation with AI.

Social media outreach and targeting the right Twitch and YouTube creators will be crucial to building hype and a long-term community for this unique game. We seek a Community Manager experienced in community-building for a video game. The community needs to be built from the ground up. Preferably hybrid in Montreal, or remote. Full-time or longer term freelance contract.

Responsibilities

• Post content on social media channels ( Twitter(X), YouTube, Reddit, Facebook, Instagram), stores (Steam, Epic, Microsoft) and gamer forums , monitor, answer questions
• Put in place and manage the Bot Colony _redux Discord
• Produce events (Gameplay streams, QA sessions), participate in Steam events (Steam Next Fest), shows
• Recruit creators/influencers who truly fit the game’s niche and can foster an engaged community, send Steam keys, custom materials.
• Design laser-focused paid ads, watch conversion to seed Discord
• Update websites, developer blog, LinkedIn page, media kit
• Prioritize community feedback and liaise with the developer and artist team

Skills

• Experience with social media
• Gamer, understands gamer culture
• Enjoy story-rich, narrative, sci-fi, experimental, AI-driven adventure games,
• Able to produce small trailers, animated GIFs, screenshots, banners
• Great people and communication skills
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• 3+ years' in marketing, advertising or related role

• Pay: $25.00-$33.00 per hour
