Nyamyam is looking for a lead programmer to join our award-winning team. You will be part of a small international team developing a highly innovative mixed-reality horror game for Quest 3 using Unity 6. The game has a playable vertical slice and is about to enter full production. 

Applicants must be based in Taiwan and have the right to work here. Hybrid remote/office work is possible. 

Responsibilities:

• develop complex gameplay systems, mechanics and features using Unity 6, and ensuring they align with the project’s vision
• work closely with game designers, artists and other stakeholders to understand project requirements, gameplay mechanics and technical specifications
• contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes, tools and workflows, identifying opportunities for increased efficiency and productivity
• ensure performance optimization
• maintain code quality and guide the team in best practices
• ability to accept constructive feedback and adapt to it

Requirements: 

• expert knowledge of Unity and C#
• 5+ years experience as a programmer in games
• proven experience as a Programming Lead or Senior programmer, on at least one commercially released games 
• creative mindset and strong problem-solving skills to overcome complex challenges and a curiosity for working with new technologies
• self-motivated and proactive, capable of working independently while contributing to a highly collaborative team
• ability and willingness to work in an English speaking team
• experience using version control software such as Git or Perforce
• bonus points if you have experience:
  • developing VR/XR games for Meta Quest devices
