We are looking for a versatile and detail-oriented 2D Generalist to join our creative team. The ideal candidate possesses a rock-solid foundation in traditional art principles—specifically perspective and technical drawing—and has the "chameleon" ability to adapt to various art styles. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where clear communication and creative problem-solving are key.
Key Responsibilities
- Concept & Asset Creation: Design and render high-quality 2D concept and in-game assets (props, environments, and creatures) that adhere to the project’s style guide.
- Style Matching: Quickly analyze and replicate established art styles to ensure visual consistency across the entire game.
- Technical Drawing: Apply strong perspective and construction skills to create believable designs, from architectural elements to complex machinery.
- Graphic Design: Utilize a keen eye for layout, typography, and color theory to support the visual identity of the project.
- UI/UX Design: An understanding of user interface logic and creating functional, aesthetic UI elements.
Requirements
- Core Fundamentals: Exceptional understanding of art principles, including lighting, composition, color theory, and perspective/technical drawing.
- Software Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, or equivalent.
- Style Versatility: A diverse portfolio demonstrating the ability to work across different aesthetic styles (e.g., flat design, painterly, or stylized illustration).
- Pace & Pipeline: Proven ability to deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate creative choices and receive constructive feedback.
- Experience: 1–2 years of experience in game development or a related creative industry.
Nice to Have (Bonus Skills)
- Motion & Animation: Experience with Frame-by-Frame animation or Motion Graphics.
- Software Suite: Familiarity with Adobe After Effects and Illustrator.
- Unity Experience: Familiarity with Unity engine and in-game VFX.
