At Prefabot Interactive, we push the boundaries of interactive entertainment. We're assembling a world-class team for an ambitious, unannounced AAA title built on innovation, artistic excellence, and collaboration.

 

Role Overview

We're not just hiring a Lead Designer or an EP — we're looking for a founder-level creative operator who can own both the soul and the spine of a new AAA IP. You'll define what the game is and make sure it actually ships — holding the design vision in one hand and the production roadmap in the other.

If you've ever wanted to build something from scratch, architect systems that millions of players will live inside, and be recognized as a foundational force behind a new studio, this is that seat.

 

Key Responsibilities

Game Design

  • Own and evangelize the GDD — core loops, progression systems, economy, and player mechanics
  • Prototype and iterate rapidly with engineering and art; drive improvements from playtest data
  • Architect scalable, deeply engaging game systems

Production & Execution

  • Build and manage the high-level roadmap, sprint planning, and cross-discipline milestones
  • Proactively manage scope, budget, and bottlenecks without losing the core vision
  • Implement and refine development workflows (Agile/Scrum/Kanban) using Jira, Confluence, and Perforce

Leadership

  • Serve as the bridge between creative, technical, and business stakeholders
  • Mentor designers and associate producers; foster psychological safety and open feedback
  • Deliver clear, regular project health updates to the executive board

 

Required Qualifications

  • 8–10+ years in game development; 3+ years as Lead Designer, Game Director, or Executive Producer
  • At least one shipped AAA PC/console title in a leadership capacity
  • Deep knowledge of gameplay theory, system balancing, and player psychology
  • Proven track record managing multi-disciplinary teams of 30+ developers
  • Strong familiarity with Unreal Engine 5
  • Exceptional communication — able to pitch, align, and resolve conflict at every level

 

Nice to Have

  • Technical design or Blueprint/visual scripting background
  • Experience founding or scaling a studio from the ground up
  • Knowledge of AI-driven mechanics or dynamic narrative systems
  • Bilingual English/Mandarin
