Hi there! We’re Qloud Games, an Australian-headquartered, fully-remote indie studio with team members hailing from around the globe.

We’re the developers of Loftia: a cozy, solarpunk life-sim MMO that blends the creative and cozy elements of titles like Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley, together with a social and online world with thousands of other players. We ran a US$1.3m Kickstarter campaign in 2023, have an online community of 700,000 followers on social media, and over 60,000 excited players in our Discord. For more information about the game, check out our Kickstarter page and Steam page.

Loftia is entering Early Access in just a few months’ time, and we are looking for a Trailer Editor & Capture Artist to join our team and work together with existing team members to produce our final gameplay trailers that will showcase Loftia’s launch to the world!

This role will start as a short-term contract (2 months) with potential to transition into a more permanent role.

Responsibilities

As our Trailer Editor & Capture Artist, you will work on a variety of different tasks across multiple avenues:

  • handling and co-leading the production of game trailers; and
  • creating cinematic scenes within Unreal Engine using its native Sequencer tool; and
  • capturing gameplay footage from the game client, with the help of our custom-built game capture tools; and
  • editing and post-processing footage into final, delivery-ready trailer outputs.

What You Bring

Technical Skills

  • Experience with editing and producing game trailers, both cinematic and gameplay
  • Proficiency with Unreal Engine and its Sequencer tool
  • Experience with video editing tools such as After Effects or DaVinci Resolve
  • Experience working with game capture pipelines and performance-friendly cinematic workflows

Creative & Collaboration Skills

  • A strong tendency towards proactivity, with the ability to creatively problem-solve autonomously
  • Strong visual storytelling skills
  • Strong sense of visual acuity, and a deep intrinsic understanding of what constitutes high quality, polished and aesthetic assets
  • Production and project management skills, with the ability to oversee the trailer creation process from end-to-end

Role Details

  • Engagement type: Full-time
  • Contract type: 2-month contract to start, with potential for extension or transition to a more permanent arrangement down the line
  • Location: Fully-remote (based in Sydney, Australia is a bonus, but not required)
  • Start date: Immediately
  • Pay rate: Negotiable, based on location and experience

How to Apply

Please send us an email with your application to us. Please do include a cover letter and portfolio of game trailers that you have previously produced or contributed to.
