Are you a creative writer with a love for storytelling? QuestStudio, a new type of smart editor, is seeking talented Creative Writers/Narrative Designers for an hourly contracting opportunity in support of our Beta v2.0 launch. We estimate the initial project will be about 10 hours with the potential for follow-on work in the future. This is a remote position.

About QuestStudio

Founded by duo of engineers with a passion for storytelling through video games and theatre, QuestStudio aims to be a force multiplier for writers, bloggers, content creators, and hobbyists. One of our founders spent over a decade as a stage actor in Italy. The other has been an avid video gamer and consumer of fantasy his entire life. We believe generative AI will forever change the way we write. It has already begun to reshape the writing industry. Writers ought to lead this revolution, not AI companies.

We recently released version 2.0 of our beta. This release introduces a host of new features including:

• AI commands that allow you to generate variations, continuations, and new ideas from right inside the editor, to keep you in the flow state for longer.
• AI Agents, specialized collaborators designed to help users with various aspects of the creative writing process from narrative design to character building and more.
• Advanced knowledge management features, like the ability to link documents together and view your connections in a graph to quickly see how your ideas are related.

We are continuously enhancing the above features as well as adding new ones regularly.

What You'll Do

TL;DR - Create content (short story, blog post, etc.; you choose) using QuestStudio, document how you used our features in the process, and provide feedback on your experience.

Details (with estimated time breakdown):

• Familiarizing Yourself with the Platform (1-2 hrs):
  • Get acquainted with QuestStudio’s features and interface.
  • Hop on a call with our developers, seeking clarifications and learning to ensure seamless execution of your tasks.
• Building a Project and Writing (6-7 hrs):
  • Create a captivating project showcasing your storytelling genius.
  • Craft an intricate narrative using QuestStudio’s innovative features.
  • Document your creative process and feature utilization within the project files.
• Formal Feedback Session with Dev Team (1 hr):
  • Highlight features that significantly assisted your creative endeavors.
  • Pinpoint areas where additional instructions or UX improvements are needed.
  • Share your likes and dislikes to help us refine the platform further.

The project you create will be not only be used as marketing collateral for QuestStudio, but also serve as a guiding template for new users to reference while learning the system.

Requirements:

• Experience writing on a team
• Has had ownership over deliverables

Nice to haves:

• If you have helped develop tutorials or documentation for a product (video game, board game, software tool, etc.), that is a major plus. Please highlight this.
• Experience using AI tools for writing may be helpful, but is not required. We want to understand how users with varying levels of exposure to AI use our platform.
