We are a small but tight-knit team that has been working together more than five years, and our last project hit #1 on the Steam daily charts several years ago!
Rather than transition to the big studio grind, we decided to go independent and work remotely after that success.
Ride the Lion Studios was founded by New York Times best-selling author, Michael-Scott Earle, with the goal of bringing his many successful novels to life in the video game world. Our first project will be a high-quality adaptation of his most famous series: Tamer - King of Dinosaurs.
Tamer: King of Dinosaurs is an action/survival adventure game influenced by Monster Hunter and ARK: Survival Evolved with a strong emphasis on plot.
We’ve utilized Xsens technology and created a full-body performance capture pipeline that allows our professional theater actors to deliver incredible performances of a compelling narrative.
That aspect combined with our efficient management and fun gameplay allows us to emulate the feel of a AAA game with a relatively tiny studio without the need for a high-pressure crunch environment.
