Skymap Games is hiring a Lead QA tester to help us deliver the highest quality games possible by providing insightful feedback and technical analysis. In this role you will think creatively and analytically to thoroughly test games for bugs and crashes, as well as to provide non-technical feedback on gameplay mechanics, aesthetics, feel, etc. You will create detailed logs and meet with a team from each project to discuss your findings.

Responsibilities

• Define, implement, and maintain a solid QA framework and process
• Be able to provide a holistic quality overview of upcoming changes or additions at any given time, through relevant tracking and reporting
• Coordinate testing needs surrounding technical investigation of issues uncovered through negative KPI trends and/or Customer Support escalations
• Build and deploy testing suites and cases to verify game feature functionality
• Complete directed and ad hoc testing of game features
• Create and execute a testing plan for passing console certification
• Advocate for the quality of the player experience

Qualifications 

• 5 years of experience with at least 1 title shipped as a lead
• Excellent communication and effective time management skills
• Proactive, enthusiastic, and self-motivated
• Exceptional reporting capabilities
• Knowledge of JIRA and/or similar bug tracking systems
• Experience supporting multiple platforms (PC, Console)
• Experience with console certification process 
• Passion for making video games the best they can be
• Works well in a team and independently 

Pluses

• Experience in online and open-world games
• Knowledge and experience working with Unreal and Unity
• Familiarity with automation frameworks
