Slippery Rock Games is seeking a talented 2D Animator to join as the principal character animator for our prototype, Project Fortune.
About the Role
Project Fortune features a unique, hand-drawn art style: the entire game takes place within illustrated, isometric maps. We are seeking an experienced 2D Animator with experience crafting frame-by-frame animations to bring the player character in this world to life while maintaining their hand-drawn aesthetic.
You will complete a suite of roughly 20 animations for the player character. We are open to any animation tools you choose to use, provided animations are ultimately converted into sprite sheets or otherwise able to be smoothly integrated into Unity.
While our intention has been to create the characters in 2D, if you believe you have the shader experience to render our style in 3D, please send in an application and we are open to discussing working together!
This is a contract position to create the base player character animations for the prototype build. There is the possibility of a contract extension or full-time employment based on the quality of the work and success of the prototype.
