Stencil VR is a mixed-reality app for the Meta Quest that’s changing how artists create. Our tool lets anyone turn their digital designs into a scalable, projected stencil they can trace onto any physical surface.

Our app has become a game-changer for professional muralists, who use it to project and trace complex, large-scale designs in a fraction of the time. We've built a passionate, fast-growing community of artists, crafters, and creators who genuinely love the tool and are constantly discovering new ways to use it.

The Role

We're a small, dedicated team looking for a passionate and creative Community & Social Media Manager to become the voice of Stencil. This person will engage our growing community of artists, muralists, and creators. You'll be our community's biggest advocate and our brand's biggest champion, answering questions, coordinating content, and building a supportive, exciting space for artists to share their work.

Key Job Details

• Role: Community & Social Media Manager (Contract)
• Pay: $40 USD / hour
• Hours: ~20 hours per week
• Location: Remote
• Future: This is a contract position with potential for more hours or full-time employment for the right candidate.

What You'll Be Doing (Responsibilities):

Front-line Support & Engagement

• Be the first point of contact for our community, responding to support emails, DMs, and comments with empathy and enthusiasm.
• Reply thoughtfully to store reviews and customer feedback.

Social Media Management

• Curate and share user-generated content that celebrates our artists.
• Collaborate with creators to plan and post engaging original content (Reels, TikToks, tutorials) showcasing the app and community.

Community Building

• Manage and grow our social channels (Instagram, TikTok, Reddit, Discord).
• Start conversations, highlight artists, and share updates that keep the community excited and informed.
• Write occasional blog posts to share product updates and spotlight creators.

Creator Management

• Build and run our creator/ambassador program, discovering new artists, coordinating collaborations, and maintaining strong relationships.

What We're Looking For (Qualifications):

Experience

• 2+ years of professional experience in social media and community management or relevant customer service experience.

Excellent Communicator

• You have a friendly, professional, and empathetic tone. You're a great writer who can handle both fun marketing copy and delicate customer support issues.

Organized & Proactive

• You can manage multiple platforms, a content calendar, and an inbox without letting things fall through the cracks.

Creator-Savvy

• You understand how to build authentic relationships with creators and manage collaborations.

Bonus Points (Not Required)

• You own a Meta Quest headset and are familiar with the VR/MR ecosystem.
• You have a personal connection to the art world (you're an artist, muralist, crafter, or a fan).
