A landship getting ready for its journey in the March
You are a Trailblazer... the captain of a ‘Landship’—a powerful vessel shaped by undying dedication and boundless dreams. It is your lifeline through 'The March,' a perilous frontier engulfing civilization's remnants. Your mission: blaze a trail in this wilderness and uncover the mystery at its heart.
Trailblazers: Into the March is a roguelite colony-sim that integrates tactical combat with the emotional journey of procedural characters. Before setting off, you will purchase and customize your Landship, recruit crew members with their own backgrounds and skills, trade supplies and materials, and take on contracts. Once you venture into the March, you must manage your crew's daily lives, witness their evolving relationships and stories, and defend your moving home in tactical landship battles as you explore the vast uncharted territories.

Strangers began two years ago with a post on Reddit's r/INAT (In Need of a Team). While we searched for a project to fully develop, many people joined and left. Eventually, we discovered Trailblazers, which solidified our core team.
Strangers is a burgeoning video game development studio based in Switzerland. Our passionate team operates remotely across Romania, France, and Switzerland. With support from Swiss Games and Pro Helvetia, we aim to create the games we've always dreamed of playing.
We at Strangers aim to create meaningful moments that extend beyond the game. As we're building our team for the long term, we seek individuals whose career aspirations align with ours. We're not just looking for employees, but fellow dreamers - people as passionate about crafting incredible games as we are. This shared passion propels us forward. We prioritize team well-being, ensuring everyone feels satisfied and fulfilled in their role.
As we prepare to explore the mysterious world of the March with Trailblazers, we're assembling a skilled team. If you share our passion for creating unforgettable gaming experiences, we'd love for you to join us on our journey!
Trailblazers is a top-down 2D strategy-rpg PC game, blending robust management mechanics with a compelling tactical gameplay. Players will command a Landship - a colossal armored vehicle acting as a moving village - across an enigmatic, otherworldly wilderness. While exploring the uncharted expanse called the March, they will engage in battles against fantastical creatures and rival Landships while overseeing a diverse crew of explorers, each endowed with unique skills, talents, and aspirations.
Our goal is to captivate players who relish witnessing the unfolding tales of their characters, while navigating intricate systems to support their preferred play styles. We aspire to create a sanctuary for solo gamers who have lost themselves in the depths of titles like FTL, Wartales, or Rimworld.
Heavily inspired by the art works of Hayao Miyazaki or Jean-Giraud Moebius, we want to create a world that reminds people of films like Howl’s Moving Castle or Nausicaa, with a low sci-fi twist. Exploration, combat and characters are at the core of the gameplay we’re building.
