The Game Band is looking for a seasoned Live Producer to lead our efforts in game updates and releases. This role involves extensive coordination across various teams to ensure our game remains engaging, operational, and profitable. As Live Producer, you will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of our live operations, from planning and scheduling to the execution and analysis of updates and releases.
As a Live Producer you will
- Oversee the development and execution of our live game strategy in collaboration with key stakeholders, ensuring both player satisfaction and business objectives are met
- Be accountable for the planning and delivery of the Road to Live timeline, ensuring continuous delivery of updates and releases
- Deliver the first pass of the P&L strategy for each game update/release, working closely with leadership to reach operational feasibility and profitability
- Coordinate across departments to secure necessary resources and support for the team
- Monitor player feedback and issues across updates, prioritizing ways to improve their experience
- Manage the live event and release schedule, controlling operational costs while ensuring game stability
- Support and coordinate with external partners or vendors for seamless update delivery, analysis, and iteration
What success as a Live Producer looks like
- The team consistently releases successful game updates, as evidenced by positive player feedback and hitting revenue targets
- The game is stable and the team is able to respond to issues with well-prepared contingency plans
- Updates are released on time and on/under budget
Requirements
- Proven experience leading live operations for mobile, console, or PC games, with a deep understanding of the live game lifecycle
- Proficiency in project tracking software and experience in budget management
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively within a relatively flat team structure
- Experience working remotely or with teams across different time zones
Nice to Haves
- Experience with continuous delivery and agile methodologies
- Familiarity with live game metrics, analysis, and the ability to drive strategies based on data-driven insights
