We are seeking a talented and experienced Quality Assurance Manager to join our dynamic team. As the Quality Assurance Project Manager you will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the quality assurance process for our video game projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in video game quality assurance, as well as proven project management skills.

 

Responsibilities

  • Source and vet external QA vendors who can perform functional, performance, compatibility, and localization testing for external developers.
  • Lead the external quality assurance team in planning and executing comprehensive testing strategies for video game projects.
  • Develop and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and testing schedules to ensure thorough coverage of all game features and functionalities.
  • Coordinate with development teams to identify and prioritize issues, track defects, and ensure timely resolution.
  • Manage external quality assurance vendors and provide guidance, support, and feedback to ensure high-quality results.
  • Collaborate with producers, developers, and other stakeholders to communicate testing progress, identify risks, and make data-driven decisions to improve product quality.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve testing processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends in video game quality assurance.

 

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in video game quality assurance, with a strong understanding of QA principles, methodologies, and processes.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and tracking schedules, budgets, identifying risks.
  • Shipped title experience as a Quality Assurance manager on 2+ multi-platform video games.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using quality assurance tools and software, such as bug tracking systems, test management tools, and version control systems.
  • Passion for video games and a deep understanding of gaming mechanics, genres, and platforms.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
