We're looking for a Creative Producer to lead creative direction, ideation, and production across a variety of game industry clients. You'll guide projects from brief to delivery, brief in and manage freelancers, give sharp creative feedback, and - when the project calls for it - jump into the timeline to edit video or into the file to design. Working closely with our brand leads and creative team, you'll shape concepts that resonate with players.
This is a key role in our team's continued growth. As a small and fast-moving group, we need someone who's ready to make an impact from day one. The role is both strategic and hands-on, ideal for someone who can lead creative direction at a high level and is just as comfortable executing the day-to-day work that brings ideas to life.
The ideal candidate has lived the games industry from the inside, having worked on multiple shipped titles, and genuinely understands what makes great creative for players. You bring the strategic eye of a Creative Director, the operational rigor of a Producer, and the craft skills to still get hands-on when needed.
Responsibilities
Creative Direction & Project Management
- Lead creative direction and brainstorming/ideation for the agency and client projects, shaping concepts from brief to delivery
- Brief in assets and translate client needs into clear, actionable creative direction
- Source, vet, and manage a roster of freelancers, scaling teams up and down per project
- Give sharp, constructive creative feedback across video and design deliverables
- Own creative project management end-to-end: timelines, budgets, scope, and client communication
- Collaborate closely with brand leads, community teams, and clients to ensure creative meets the mark
Brand Stewardship
- Own and maintain brand consistency across every deliverable
- Develop, document, and uphold brand guides and standards for client titles, evolving them as brands grow
- Reviewing freelancer and internal output to make sure tone, visual identity, and quality are on-brand
- Onboard freelancers and collaborators into client brand systems so the work stays cohesive across hands and projects
Hands-On Execution
- Jump into the timeline to edit and produce video content when projects call for it
- Contribute graphic design work directly when needed to keep projects moving
- Produce polished, on-brand deliverables that meet the same bar you'd expect from your freelancers
- Step in to support or backstop freelance talent during crunch periods, tight turnarounds, or last-minute revisions
Qualifications
- 5-7 years games industry experience in PC, mobile and/or console
- Or 5-7 years agency experience working on narrative based entertainment products
- Hands-on experience across multiple shipped game titles, in a creative or marketing capacity (in-house studio, publisher, or platform side)
- Demonstrable projects you've worked on and set creative direction for
- Genuine craft skills in video editing (Premiere, After Effects) and/or graphic design (Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma)
- Strong working familiarity with ClickUp (or comparable PM tools like Asana, Monday, Trello), Figma, and the Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong creative judgment and the ability to articulate why something works or doesn't
- Experience giving creative direction and managing creative output
- Experience managing freelancers and external talent
- A knack for juggling multiple project deadlines
- Deep, genuine understanding in game genres, platforms, players, community, entertainment, or pop culture
- Bonus: existing network of games-industry freelancers and creative talent
- Double bonus: experience with trailers, key art, sizzle reels, social campaigns, or store/marketing assets
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary: CAD $80,000 to $95,000 depending on experience
- Uncapped commission structure for resigning clients, increasing value to existing clients, or bringing on new projects and games
- Health benefits package (including dental and mental health support)
- 2 weeks paid vacation
- Paid summer and winter studio closures (additional 2 weeks off)
- Flexible remote or hybrid work model
- Collaborative, creative environment with room to grow
