Cat Samurai is a fully remote indie game studio based in Toronto, Canada. Our team’s credits include games and experiences Lil’ Guardsman, No Save Points, Far Cry and Riverbond. We specialize in creating engaging gameplay mechanics and storytelling that works great on PC, Switch, and handheld platforms.
Our Work Principles
- Solve problems together. Great games come from strong communication and teamwork. We focus on a specific audience, gameplay ideas, and story direction for each project. Everyone can and should identify problems, and we rely on the team to suggest creative solutions.
- “Take It Seriously, Hold It Lightly”: While we take our projects seriously, we don’t treat any single game as our "dream project" or "baby." (Some of us have actual babies, and they’re way cooler.) Instead, we’re passionate about working sustainably, communicating effectively, and aligning around a shared vision to craft the best experience for our audience.
- Deliver On-Time and On-Budget: Game development is challenging, but we view constraints as opportunities. By fostering open, honest conversations about timelines and scope, we aim to deliver a polished game within our resources while maintaining creativity and focus.
