As an artist at Acureus, your role will involve helping us shape the development and evolution of Draw & Guess across various new game modes, content updates, and community events.
You will also play a fundamental role in the overall branding and asset creation. As a small yet growing team, we highly value your input/suggestions - we're looking for an artist who is confident in their decision-making and has their finger on the pulse of what makes great assets stand out.
This will be an initial 12-month contract, with the intention of converting to a permanent role.
This position offers an incredibly unique opportunity to play a critical role in defining a major part of our game across a passionate and engaged fanbase, with the flexibility and experimentation afforded by being part of a small cosy team!

Acureus is a fully remote indie studio that creates memorable multiplayer experiences with friends through empowering creativity at all skill levels. We released Draw & Guess in March 2021, later seeing a viral surge in players that caused our community to grow from just a few hundred to over 3 million since launch.
Draw & Guess’ initial success has only further catalysed our vision for the game. We are fortunate to have seen growth in such a diverse genre of the industry and are excited to welcome others who share our vision for fun, engaging, and creatively inspired experiences.
In February 2024, we released a free visual/mechanical overhaul to Draw & Guess for all players, with us now moving towards creating more game modes and in-game features!
Draw & Guess is a creative drawing game where up to 16 players... draw and guess!
Each player receives a word and draws it without using characters or numbers. The next player guesses the word behind the drawing. Then another one draws it again! The twist is that at the end of these cycles, the final player must try to guess the **original** word.
We’ve been lucky to have some incredible jobs working at and partnering with some of the biggest brands in video games.
But we’ve never had more fun and been more fulfilled than when we were working with indie game developers.
Everyone in games should have that much fun.
