We are seeking a dynamic and creative Community Manager/Social Media Marketer to join our team. This role will be instrumental in shaping the public face of our upcoming game and growing our online community. Reporting to the CEO, you will develop and execute social and community strategies across multiple channels, driving engagement, user acquisition, and fostering a passionate player base.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement social media and community strategies across various platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, Discord, YouTube, etc.) to promote our Valheim and Roblox AI mods and engage our audience.
  • Own and manage all social media accounts, creating and curating content that resonates with our target audience.
  • Grow followers and audience engagement by delivering integrated social programs, including content creation, campaign execution, and post-campaign analysis. You will also edit and upload highlights from twitch streams of creators and teammates playing the game on Twitch.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align marketing efforts with game development and community goals.
  • Engage directly with users through social media channels, responding to questions, participating in conversations, and connecting with key influencers.
  • Analyze social media performance and community sentiment, using insights to optimize strategies and report on KPIs.
  • Lead strategic projects to bring gamers and fans together, including managing VIP ambassador programs and leveraging user feedback for product improvement.
  • Stay updated on social media trends, particularly in gaming, and creatively apply these trends to enhance engagement.
  • Collaborate with the CEO team to ensure consistent messaging and effective handling of user inquiries on Discord.

 

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in social media management and community building, preferably within the gaming or lifestyle sectors.
  • Proven ability to grow and engage an audience through organic and sponsored content.
  • Strong analytical skills to measure the impact of social campaigns on business objectives.
  • Excellent written communication skills, with a focus on crafting engaging content for a diverse audience.
  • Familiarity with image editing, web design, and/or video editing.
  • A passion for gaming, with a deep understanding of the culture and trends within the industry.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Creative, ambitious, and willing to take initiative in driving community and marketing efforts.
  • Be located in or close to San Francisco, CA
