We're looking for a 3D character modeler to help create and rig a variety of creatures for our next game which is all about interactions between humans and animals, both real and fantastical. It's OK if the rigs you make are pretty basic since we're a small team and most of our animation is procedural.
Our characters are gently stylized and run the gamut from animals you'd find in a David Attenborough documentary (caterpillar, seagull, bacteria, etc) to Jim Henson-style monsters to the occasional human.
Ultimately we're trying to create moments that feel weirdly alive and characters are a huge part of that. Ideally we'd like our characters to feel fleshy and strange but still biologically (at least vaguely) plausible.
