pprojects, etc. is a very small, remote-working team of artists, musicians, and game developers working part time on our first commercial title. The game is still in early stages of development, with our current focus being the completion of a vertical slice. All the pieces are largely in place (art, music, design, core gameplay), save for the animation of our main character and some other key elements. That’s where you come in!
What we are looking for:
We need a skilled and enthusiastic character animator to help us bring our player character and wider game world to life. We’re looking for someone with the following areas of expertise:
What we offer:
Currently, this is a part-time contractor role geared toward helping us get our game’s vertical slice over the finish line. Pay rates are open for discussion, and will be based on experience, level of commitment, and budget viability.
We operate on an open-ended, negotiable deadline basis. We agree on the next asset(s) to produce, hash out a rough timeline, and periodically check in on progress. How and when you decide to work is entirely up to you. We may have the occasional meeting in the PST time zone’s morning/early afternoon, but otherwise no other time commitments are necessary.
How to apply:
Send us an email with a link to your work, especially pertaining to character animations in a similar style as described above. Please also tell us a little bit about yourself, including where you live, your availability each week, and your desired pay rate.
Those who we are interested in working with will be asked to do a small animation test, fully paid according to our mutual agreement.
pprojects, etc. is an international collective of game developers who love to build worlds, tell stories, and handcraft singular gameplay experiences. Our small team's shared history includes collaborating with the likes of Annapurna Interactive, Akupara Games, Riot Games, Messhof, Oxide Games, and others. Since 2023, we have slowly established the core of our first commercial game together, working largely during off hours and keeping to ourselves. Now we're ready to complete our vertical slice in 2025, and soon make our game and its development public.
