Animator – 3D Sidescrolling Action/Adventure – Remote – Part-time (w/m/d)

Get in on the ground floor of a new indie game studio founded by an industry veteran with over 20 years of AAA and indie experience. You will be one of the key members of a small team, helping to define the game from its first days. 

This is a part-time position for 20 hours per week. The position will be available starting on March 1, 2024. 

The Project

You will be working on a side-scrolling adventure game inspired by the original 2D Prince of Persia, Sekiro, and old swashbuckling movies. 

The game uses 3D art, but gameplay takes place on a 2D plane, similar to Trine, Metroid Dread, and Bloodstained: RotN. Narratively, it has a modern fairy tale feel, with influences from The Princess Bride and Labyrinth. 

Responsibilities

• Create 3D character and object animations suitable for a fixed side view camera
• Rig/skin new meshes for animation
• Work with and improve existing animations
• Maintain and extend Unity Animation Controllers

Requirements

• Professional game development experience in an Animation role
• High level of skill creating 3D game animations using the tools of your choice
• Portfolio demonstrating your ability in this field 

Nice To Have

• Experience with Unity
• Experience with rigging
• Experience with Blender
• Live in or near Berlin
