We are seeking a talented and experienced 3D artist to help develop and produce high-performing character assets for an upcoming Mixed Reality title built in Unity, for the Meta Quest platforms. In this contract-based role, you’ll play a key part in crafting a vibrant universe to bring to player’s homes.

Role Description

• Collaborate and iterate with team members to build a unified visual language for the game
• Transform 2D concept art into stylish and expressive characters
• Work closely with graphics engineer to create optimized assets
• Author textures using substance painter
• Rig characters for mocap workflows
• Rig character faces to author facial animation blend shapes

Requirements

• Experienced with building character assets for VR
• Experienced with creating stylized assets using Blender
• Demonstrable skill using Adobe Substance Painter
• Experience revising work based on feedback
• Experience with version control using git and GitHub
• Ability to collaborate and meet during business hours in North American time zones

Nice to Haves

• Experience developing for meta quest hardware
• Understanding of how GPUs function
