Human Computer is an indie game studio founded by technology veterans and fans of beautifully crafted video games. We're making action narrative games with high production values that are easy to pick up but hard to put down. We want to put out work that make people feel things and create lasting memories while being commercially successful. Our debut game is gearing up for a Steam launch in 2025.
The Role
As our Content & Community Lead, you’ll develop and execute a content-driven community strategy, building an audience, crafting on-brand storytelling, and ensuring community engagement across platforms like YouTube, X, Threads, TikTok, and Discord. This isn’t just a management role—it’s about connecting with players through high-quality content, fostering an inclusive atmosphere, and bringing the spirit of our studio into every interaction. Experience with indie game launches is a must.
Responsibilities
- Create and Drive Strategy: Develop and implement a robust content and community strategy, focusing on our upcoming game launch.
- Build & Engage: Establish and expand our presence on social media (Twitter/X, TikTok, Threads, etc.) and community platforms (Discord, Substack).
- Content Creation: Produce engaging text, images, and short-form videos that resonate with our audience and convey the story and world of Hotel Bagatelle.
- Analyze & Adapt: Track community growth, engagement, and content performance to fine-tune strategies.
- PR & Media Relations: Manage press opportunities, submit to events, and build relationships with influencers, media, and community partners.
- Community Insights: Relay player sentiment and insights to the team to help refine the game’s experience.
Requirements
- Proven experience in content-driven community management, especially within the indie game space.
- Strong social media knowledge and platform-specific best practices.
- Excellent written and visual storytelling skills with the ability to create engaging multimedia content.
- Experience managing a Discord community and working with community-building platforms.
- Independent and proactive approach to growing an engaged community and achieving strategic goals.
- Familiarity with Steam and indie game launches.
- Available during PST business hours.
Bonus Points For
- Experience working with PR agencies or managing PR campaigns.
- Experience in event submissions, coordination, and management.
Contract Details
- Contract for the first three months with potential for full-time based on performance.
- Monthly rate dependent on experience.
