Pushing Vertices is looking for a contract Unity VFX Artist for RollerGirl.
We are working on RollerGirl, an Adventure-Narrative game set in the 2000s. All about music, rollerblading and exploration.
A key part of RollerGirl is rollerblading to curated MP3 tracks that set the mood and vibe of the gameplay. With this mechanic, the player changes the game world - mood, visuals, NPC interactions, and quest availability by changing the in-game music track. These tracks shape the emotional landscape of our game: from rocking out to an upbeat song and seeing the environment become more vivid and bright, to getting lost in a slow song and having the world become hazy and subdued. We implemented a concept of this mood-changing music mechanic in our current build but we are hoping to iterate on this and experiment with ways to make this mechanic bigger and better.
You will be working with our programmer to design our music mechanic and also refine lighting and shaders in the game to deliver an atmospheric experience.
We highly encourage applicants from underrepresented communities to apply.
