Founded in 2011, Snowcastle Games launched Earthlock in Q1 2018 on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. The game is now also available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

Our second title - Ikonei Island: An Earthlock Adventure - was released in August 2022 and is currently on Steam Early Access.

Earthlock 2, the second game in the Earthlock universe, is in development.

Working at Snowcastle

Our team currently counts 30 people who work closely together on games we are passionate about. We are a mix of seasoned industry veterans and talented juniors. Most of us work from our Oslo office, while some work remotely from Sweden, England, Scotland, Germany, Slovenia, and the Philippines. 

Our flexible work hours combined with generous Norwegian social benefits offer a healthy and family friendly work-life balance. Snowcastle had a well developed system in place for integrating remote workers long before Covid-19, and the transition to work from home for all employees proved the value of this. Every circumstance is different and Snowcastle will work with each candidate to find what works best for both parties.

Earthlock 2 will be an open-world action RPG with complex interlocking systems that work together to offer players extensive freedom to customise their own experience.

Earthlock is an adventure RPG inspired by the classic 3D RPGs of the late 90's, with a fresh take on turn based combat and character progression. Enter a beautiful world haunted by its fateful past and join a party of unlikely heroes on their journey to rescue Amon's uncle from an ancient cult and uncover the secret of Earthlock.
